Date Bites

Date Bites: This recipe is extremely versatile and can be made to fit your individual preferences! Starting with the base of oats and dates, the rest of the flavors can be customized to fit your mood. Pictured are Carrot Cake (carrot, cinnamon, walnuts) Salted Dark Chocolate (chocolate chips, sea salt, almond butter) and Coco-Mango (shredded coconut, dried mango, flax seeds).

Serves 4
Total Prep Time: 10 minutes


½ cup rolled oats
2 Dates
Any two or three of the following:
2 Tbsp Peanut or Almond Butter
2 Tbsp Almonds, walnuts or pecans
2 Tbsp Hemp or flax seeds
2 Tbsp Chocolate Chips
2 Tbsp Dried Coconut, mango or other fruit
¼ cup shredded carrot or apple
Pinch of salt, cinnamon, nutmeg or other spices


1. In a food processor or blender, mix the oats and dates until ground to a fine, crumbly mixture.
2. Add your desired mix-ins and a little water if necessary to help the bites bind when you roll them.
3. Divide into 8 equal pieces and roll into balls. Can be eaten now, or freeze in an airtight container until the day you want to pack them and eat them! These bites are great for hiking or taking in your gym back for a little pre-workout fuel!
