These whole-food chocolate banana popsicles are real treats and the perfect way to start or end a fast! The recipe is easily customizable with other fruits, nuts, seeds or toppings. They are the perfect treat to satisfy a sweet tooth while getting a good dose of potassium, antioxidants, and healthy fiber!
Serves: 8 popsicles
Prep Time: 15mins + 4h in freezer
4 Bananas, halved
4 ounces of dark chocolate, melted
½ Tbsp coconut Oil
For salted-almond: (makes 3 halves)
2 Tbsp raw almonds, chopped fine
Sea salt to taste
For chunky-monkey: (makes 3 halves)
2 Tbsp Peanut butter, melted
2 Tbsp toasted, unsweetened coconut flakes
1. Simply melt chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl.
2. Dip bananas in the chocolate and place on waxed paper.
3. Top with any variety of toppings you desire.
4. Freeze for at least 4 hours. Store in an airtight bag in the freezer for up to 1 week.
